It’s time to welcome back the Geckota Tourbillon Hand Wound watch, our reliable, robust and sophisticated tourbillon limited to just 10 pieces.

In the world of haute horology, the tourbillon stands as a testament to both technical innovation and aesthetic magnificence. The rotating cage encases the escapement and balance wheel, ensuring the watch’s accuracy by counteracting the effects of gravity on these vital elements. Beyond its functional purpose, the tourbillon offers a visual spectacle like no other.

Oscillating gracefully within its cage, the tourbillon transforms from a functional component to performance art displayed upon the dial. The interplay of the balance wheel and balance spring reminds us that even in our digital age, the art of traditional watchmaking continues to captivate.

The tourbillon is one of the most complex and expensive watch complications to produce, requiring highly trained craftspeople to develop them. In turn, tourbillon watches are considered by many as the “Holy Grail” of timepieces. Now enters Geckota, with our own take of the tourbillon watch.

The Geckota Tourbillon Hand Wound watch goes against all preconceptions of a tourbillon, offering beauty, style and precision at an accessible price. Every aspect of its design has been carefully considered, particularly when it comes to the multi-layered dial which plays host to our tourbillon complication. The dial showcases five layers including a stamped guilloche base to create a fascinating display of depth and texture.

A core feature of the Geckota Tourbillon Hand Wound watch is the brushed-finished hour track printed with large, traditional Roman numerals. It pairs perfectly with the two central Breguet-styled hands which were chosen in reference to Abraham Louis Breguet who originally invented the tourbillon escapement in 1801. The dial is available in timeless silver with blued hands or black with contrasting golden hardware.

Keeping all eyes on the dial and the tourbillon’s graceful aesthetic, the case is kept simple and timeless. Sitting at 40mm wide and 14.2mm tall, the case is engineered from 316L stainless steel available with or without yellow gold plating. The metal is beautifully brushed and polished and joined by a fixed domed bezel and sapphire crystal glass. The small knurled crown at 3 o’clock alongside the screw down exhibition case back warrants a 100 metre water resistant rating.

Through the expansive sapphire crystal glass case back, the PTS 3300 hand-wound movement is put on display. It delivers a 40 hour+ power reserve, a frequency of 28,800bph and an accuracy of +/-25 seconds a day. Completing our Geckota Tourbillon Hand Wound watch is our Geckota Contoured Italian strap, meticulously crafted from the finest Italian leather and elegantly detailed with a waxed beige thread.

The Geckota Tourbillon Hand Wound watch is an unprecedented opportunity to secure an affordable tourbillon for your collection. But act fast, the novelty is limited to just 10 pieces in total.
